HOMEOWNER SPOTLIGHT
Paige and Matt
Ryan's Haven
Q. How did you end up building in the Ryan's Haven neighborhood?

A. In 2020, during the COVID pandemic, we realized that we wanted a home with a larger yard and outdoor space. After welcoming our third child in 2021, we began searching for a piece of land to build our dream home. We found a two-acre lot and bought it. We then sold our previous home and moved into the house where Paige grew up while we prepared to start building in 2024 with Heffron Homes. It’s been a process several years in the making!

Q. How do you spend time around the area and are you involved in the community?

A. We’re a family with three kids in the school district, and they love getting involved in all sorts of sports and activities! Matt has a great time coaching our oldest child's basketball team, cheering them on, and helping them grow as players. He’s also super excited to kick off a new course at the high school, where he’ll teach students about the biotech industry and dive into how scientific research can be a tangible career.

Q. Could you explain what it is about the neighborhood/area that you enjoy?
A. We absolutely love our new neighborhood for so many reasons! It’s great to combine country living with the convenience of being close to town. Plus, being near Lake Wisconsin is a huge bonus since Matt’s family has lived on the lake for about a century—it’s such a special place for us. The stunning views were also a main selling point to moving out here! We have the Baraboo Bluffs to the north and Gibraltar Rock to the east. To the south, there’s beautiful farmland and more bluffs that just make every day feel amazing. We couldn’t be happier here!

Q. Are there particular features or design elements that you are happy were incorporated into your new home?

A. We have an affection for traditional elegance and layout—the arches, rich wooden doors and floors gracing the main level, and the vintage glass doorknobs that add a touch of nostalgia. Outside, we appreciate the brick chimney rising up from the fireplace, mirroring the hearth within, creating a warm and cohesive ambiance throughout the home.

Q. Did you have a favorite part of the building process (for instance, working with a designer; seeing the walls come together; when everyone was gone and you could move in?!)?
A. Our meetings with Jaclyn were always something we looked forward to; her expertise and thoughtful answers to every question have been invaluable. We could not have achieved our vision without her guidance.
A cherished memory is the day I visited the house and witnessed the carpenter Al and his grandson creating the staircase we had dreamed of for years. We love having this bond of family that brought it to life.
Q. Were there any surprises of building a new home?
A. There weren't many surprises since this was our second time doing this with Heffron. Dan and the team always make things easier. The new design technology took most of the surprises out of the process, especially being able to see the house in 3D.

Q. If you could offer advice about building, what would it be?

A. Embrace the challenge and opportunity with positivity and patience. It can feel overwhelming, but rely on Heffron’s expertise to make your vision become reality.

Paige and Matt,
Thank you for showing our readers a glimpse into your beautiful, new home. Thanks also for being repeat customers. There is no greater compliment than that for our company. It was truly our pleasure, from design to completed construction, our entire team enjoyed working with your family.
